“Work on 19 projects to generate 24, 870 megawatt electricity has been started,” chief minister of eastern province of Punjab said.
Talking with a delegation of National and Provincial Assembly Members at the provincial capital, he was of the view that work was being underway to end energy crisis as 1700MW electricity had already been added in a short span of time.

As the summer arrives across the country and people’s nerve is being tested by hot weather, spells of energy load shedding has ballooned too with average time of power outages have raised up to 7 to 8 hours in cities and more in rural areas.
