NEW YORK – Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has admitted that doing her latest role give her feeling like a big kid again.
Speaking at the Maleficent press conference, the actress – who takes on the title role in the latest Disney re-imagining – revealed that taking on the iconic fairytale villain meant she was able to bring out her fun side – something which she hasn’t been able to do for a lot of her roles.
“I can’t tell you how much fun it was. It was like being a big kid when I got the script,” she said.
“I have always been curious about her – ever since I was a little girl.”
She added: “Although there is lot of depth to story, things did get a little crazy on set and we had a lot of fun.
The actress, who stars alongside Elle Fanning and Sam Riley in the film, went on to reveal that her fun attitude on set meant that she ended up being a lot more animated when it came to her home life.
“My children love Maleficent’s voice so they would always ask me to do it. I came home very silly – it definitely brought out the child in me.”
Maleficent hits screens on May 28.
