BHAWALPUR – The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s chief Imran Khan to leave the politics of protest and continue ‘playing’ as he always was.
Nawaz Sharif was speaking at the ceremony of inaugurating Pakistan’s first solar energy park in Bhawalpur on Friday when he invited Imran Khan to come visit him in Prime Minister house.
“I had come to your house. Now I invite you to come meet me at Prime Minister house. Come and tell me your stance. Leave this kind of politics. You have been playing all your life then why to stop now? If there was some rigging then come and tell me where was it…,” Nawaz said in his speech.
Nawaz Sharif also said that keeping double standards on election rigging was not right. “Where you secured seats there elections were fair and where you lost there polls were rigged,” Nawaz added.
He also asked Imran Khan to tell what was his ‘objective’ of protest on May 11.
May 11 Protest
Imran Khan had vowed to bring down the PML-N government if his party workers were barred from participating in May 11 protest at D-Chown Islamabad.
Moreover, the leader of PTI Shafqat Mehmood said in an interview that PML-N government had started harassing his party workers, bus drivers and started blocking entrance points of the city.
However, the PML-N spokesman rejected these allegations and maintained that roads were already blocked due to the development projects. The PML-N spokesperson said further that only six points were blocked due to Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project and if PTI was so desperate to bring his supporters on May 11 then they can use the alternate routes.
