Malala Yousafzai found sisters in Nigeria, kidnapped by Islamist militants

ISLAMABAD – The global fame for receiving bullet in her head for being vocal about girls’ education in Pakistan, Malala Yousafzai has found new Nigerian sisters who were kidnapped from schools by Islamist militants.

Malala gave an interview to American broadcaster CNN in which she claimed that 200 Nigerian school girls were actually her sisters in cause.

She also criticized the Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram for misinterpreting Islam and Quran.

“They are actually misusing the name of Islam because they have forgotten that the word Islam means ‘peace. When I heard about the girls in Nigeria being abducted I felt very sad and I thought that my sisters are in prison and I thought that I should speak up for them,” she added.

Its pertinent to mention that several Western countries offered their help to Nigeria to find the missing school girls, whose abduction had prompted an international outcry.
