Debutante Anwar Ali made unique record in his first ODI | PakistanTribeLAHORE – Debutante Anwar Ali has made the unique record in his first one-day international cricket match after his all-round performance.

Pakistani pacer has joined Abdul Qadir, Saleem Elahi, Manzoor Elahi, Nasir Jamshed, Shahid Anwar, Shadab Kabir, Zakir Khan and Shahid Nazir as he awarded man of the match award in a debut game.

Pakistan take the lead by 1-0 in the three-match series after losing 4-1 to South Africa earlier this month in a five-match ODI series in the United Arab Emirates.

Anwar Ali scored 43 not out to took Pakistan from 131 for seven to a defendable total in bowlers dominated match at Cape Town

He also took 2 wickets with economical rate against proteas.

Hailing from a humble background, Anwar Ali once showed up at the National Cricket Academy nets with a pair of worn-out shoes. It was Aaqib Javed who took him under his wing and helped provide proper spikes and other cricket equipment to him.

In his domestic level cricket, Anwar Ali was the part of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) departmental team. He was also part of Pakistan, Karachi Blues, Karachi Dolphins, Karachi Harbour, Karachi Urban, Karachi Zebras, Pakistan A, Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Under-19s, Sindh cricket teams.
