Top judge in KPK revealed mysterious truth regarding missing persons case

Missing persons

PESHAWAR – The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel had noted that some elements were using security forces’ name to camouflage personal grudges and enmities.

The note came on Wednesday during the hearing of missing persons’ case.

Justice Mazhar remarked “Some cases have emerged in which people were using the name security forces for personal rivalries. However, the missing persons’ case must be settled immediately.”

Hearing was attended by the Additional Attorney General of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KPK) Rab Nawaz and one officer from security forces identified as Major Amir.

Major Amir told the PHC that most of the total 24 missing persons were present in the KPK’s prisoner cells.

Upon this, Justice Mazhar asked Major Amir to arrange the meeting of those present in prisoner cells with their relatives.

Court further notified the Secretary Defence and Secretaries Interior – federal and KPK – to present their stance in next hearing.
