So What If Not Pakistanis, Dar Inspires Other Asian Countries

ishaq dar adb statementASTANA – Getting on emotional on eradicating poverty from the continent, Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar impresses upon Asian countries to raise living standard of people’s in the region.

Addressing the annual meeting of Asian Development Bank, Dar was of the view that standard of living could be raised only by development of the region.

Often under severe criticism from political opponents, Dar has been the finance minister of the country for almost a year now. But his opponents believe that there was improvement in economy of the country while inflation and power crisis have made lives of people a daunting task.

“For welfare of Asian people, countries will have to work collectively,” he said and added increasing the poverty headcount from 1.25 dollars to 2 dollars per day.
