Imran Khan hints PTI considering to boycott Geo for ‘secret’ nexus with PML-N

ISLAMABAD – The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has hinted that his party might boycott the Geo television network and Jang group for their alleged secret nexus with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Imran Khan stated in an interview that within next 48 hours (till Thursday) his party would decide to boycott Geo/Jang media group.

Khan was expressing his concern over the Geo and PML-N nexus which, according to him, brought victory for the former in May 11, 2013 polls.

Khan stated that counting was underway on May 11 evening but at night Geo News made Nawaz Sharif to deliver a victory speech.

“That speech was a signal for election commission’s administration to now make result as per the victors,” he added.

Then after the election one of the employee of Geo news was made the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board and state television simultaneously let go the broadcasting rights of cricket matches in favor of Geo Sports, he added while pointing towards the Najam Sethi.

Khan also stated that all of Geo is not biased. He said “There are many nice people in Geo. However, the real decision maker is sitting in Dubai.” He was pointing towards the Mir Shakilur Rehman.

Khan also revealed that Geo TV knows who killed their reporter Wali Khan Babar in Karachi.

“Wali Babar’s family came to me. They told me who killed him. Hamid Mir had a tweeted on the issue. Geo knows it too. But they are keeping silent over that issue and bashing ISI’s chief over baseless allegations,” he added.

He also said “I would like to know where does Geo get funding?”
