Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline still undecided but vowed to enhance cooperation

ISLAMABAD – The fate of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline still undecided though officials of both countries vowed to enhance bilateral economic cooperation for common good of both nations.

According to an official communique, both countries signed an agreement after the 7th round of Annual Bilateral Political Consultations held in Tehran.

The agreement was signed by Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry of Pakistan and Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Ibrahim Rahimpour. Both officials also chaired the consultations.

Details described that all areas of bilateral cooperation including political, security, economic and culture were discussed.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Both sides agreed that a peaceful and stable Afghanistan is vital for stability of the region.
