Pakistan cricket team to see new captain pretty soon, confirms chief selector

Moin Khan

KARACHI – The Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Team and former captain Moin Khan has made it official now that national team would have a new captain soon.

Moin Khan held a press conference in Karachi on Monday where he also talked about the summer camp of Pakistan cricket players.

He said “The decision to appoint a new captain would be made after consultation. But for the moment, previously ignored cricket players have a chance to prove their fitness in the camp. The squad position would only be appointed after certain level of fitness.”

There have been the rumors of changing the national team’s captain after the World Twenty20 tournament in which Pakistan team performance remained poor.

It was also made clear that due to poor performance in T20 tournament, players like Shoaib Malik, Akmal and few others were not invited in the summer camp.
