Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Pakistan are defaulters, revealed Abid Sher Ali

ISLAMABAD – The electricity defaulters as per State Minister of Power and Water Abid Sher Ali, also ┬áinclude the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani.

According to the details, Abid Sher Ali signaled to cut power supply to at least 18 high profile departments on Monday.

The source privy to power ministry stated that Abid Sher Ali himself asked Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) to cut the electricity of Supreme Court building.

Sources also confirmed that Abid Sher Ali also asked to cut the supply to the residence of Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani.

The other high profile departments to be barred with electricity supply included Capital Development Authority (CDA), Prime Minister House and Secretariat, Election Commission of Pakistan and Parliament Lodges.

The ministry sources also revealed that government departments have had to pay as much as Rs 27 billion in terms of electricity bills.
