Secret Report

KARACHI – Sindh police leaked to media a very sensitive document that contained the names of at least 97 illegal fire arms dealers submitted by the intelligence agencies for further action.

According to the details, one private television JAAG channel aired a complete ‘Breaking News’ package on the ‘intelligence report’ acquired by the police ‘sources’ on Tuesday.

The television clearly showed the secret report with all names of alleged fire arms smugglers, their addresses, details of accomplices in the government and police department. The report claimed that intelligence agencies had submitted a secret report to Sindh police in which a highly sensitive details provided regarding the fire arms smuggling in the Sindh. The report also maintained that police, government office holders and political parties were using their influence to bring illegal arms in the province.

On the condition of anonymity one intelligence officer told PakistanTribe that this media report was no less than a blunder in itself. “This is not a breaking news. This is helping the culprits. This is a way to warn them to get ready for possible action beforehand,” intelligence officer added.

When tried to reach any representative of JAAG, they refused to give any comment.
