Electricity of Prime Minister house disconnected for not paying Rs4.7mln

ISLAMABAD – The electricity connection of prime minister house has been disconnected for not paying the outstanding dues of Rs 4.7 million, confirmed the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).

According to the correspondent details, the prime minister Nawaz Sharif himself had ordered to disconnect the gas and electricity connections of all defaulters without any fear or favoritism.

The electricity connection of prime minister was disconnected on Monday by the authorities.

Moreover, the gas connection of National Assembly, for not paying the outstanding dues of RS 9.1 million.

The other electricity connections of high profile building which disconnected today were of Convention Center and Federal Shariyat Court.

The representative of Sui Gas Owais Bajwa also confirmed that Parliament Lodges, Governor House of Punjab in Muree and Federal Shariyat Court’s gas connection were disconnected due to not responding to many notices of clearing the outstanding dues.

This is the first time when high profile buildings were being barred from electricity or gas supply for not paying the utility bills.
