Negotiators waiting for the green signals from outlawed TTP

ISLAMABAD – The leader of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and negotiator on behalf of outlawed militants, Professor Ibrahim said that they (negotiators) were waiting for the final reply from outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to officially recommence the peace dialogues.

Professor Ibrahim was speaking to media on Monday.

He stated that we are trying to to get extension in ceasefire from the Taliban.

On April 26, Professor Ibrahim along with Maulana Yousuf Shah announced that militants had agreed to revive the peace dialogues with government of Pakistan.

Maulana Yousuf Shah, leader of Jamiyat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) revealed that outlawed TTP’s central body had contacted the negotiators on Saturday.

Shah maintained that in next two to three days date and place of meeting with outlawed TTP central body would be finalized.
