ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has excelled work on a mega communication project of Karakuram Highway Project.Shahid Ashraf Tarrar, Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) visited Attabad, Hunza and inspected the ongoing re-located Karakuram Highway Project.
The project is being worked upon by Chinese engineers, who briefed the chairman about the project progress.
The KKH project has been completed from Khunjerab to Railkot, except a section of 17 kilometers in Attabad, Hunza.
The mega project has been awaiting a completion for many years, as residents of Gilgit-Baltistan have to face a cut off from rest of the world for few week or even more due to weather. After the completion of KKH, the communication of Gilgit-Baltistan people will become all-weather.
