Pakistan to be load shedding freeLAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government devises strategy to lower down duration of power outages in the country in summer.

State Minister Abid Sher Ali says that about 1500 MegaWatt electricity will be added to the national grid, which will reduce the load shedding.

The additional power will be the part the national system by June.

Pakistanis have been suffering as summer approaches with many cities are facing up to 10 hours power outages while in villages the duration is even longer.

But the minister was hopeful that duration of power off would not extend six to eight hours.

“The government is already providing Rs. 226 billion to the poor consumers,” he further said.

“A transmission line from Iran to Khuzdar is being laid to import electricity from neighboring countries.”

“Pakistan will become load-shedding free country by the end of constitutional tenure of this government.”
