Pakistan strict measures for vaccination transparency

vaccination measurs in pakistanISLAMABAD – Following emergence of few other polio cases in the tribal belt of the country, Pakistan announces strict measures for monitoring vaccination process.

National Health Adviser Saira Afzal Tarar said that to ensure transparency in the vaccination, the government would adopt strict monitoring.

“Practical work needed to ensure 100 percent coverage of vaccination in the country,” she said while addressing in the capital city.

She termed immunization as the most cost effective intervention for public health and added that it had the greatest impact on peoples’ health.

The monitoring measures are crucial in sense that if polio cases emerge continuously, traveling restrictions from countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, some European countries could be imposed.
