Earthquake in Pakistan: KPK centered tremor jolts cities in Punjab


ISLAMABAD – A mild tremor jolt parts of Punjab on Friday morning which according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) was of 3.4 magnitude with its center in Parachinar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

According to the details available on the website of PMD, the earthquake hit the parts of Northern Punjab at 8:50 am.

The 8:50pm quake was centered about 2 kilometres northwest of Parachinar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said the PMD on its website .

Earthquake jolted several cities of Punjab terrifying people who rushed out of their houses and offices. Tremors were felt in Lahore, Nankana, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad and other cities.

However, there were no reports of injuries or damage.
