PTI grabbed another victory by defeating PML-N in Swat, KPK

WEB DESK – The candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Dr Haider Ali, has grabbed another seat in Khyber Paktunkhwa (KPK) PK-86 Swat defeating the candidate of Pakistan Mauslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claimed secretariat of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

According to an official communique issued by the CM Secretariat on late Thursday, the running candidate of PTI has emerged as victorious in the by polls of PK-86.

Communique further stated that Pervez Khattak has congratulated PTI candidate Dr Haider Ali for success in by polls from provincial assembly constituency and attributed his win to the growing popularity of the party.

“People had fed up of the decades long exploitative and anti-people policies of the traditional hereditary politicians and they wanted practical change while PTI had provided them that ray of hope to them,” Khattak added.

According to the PTI, This is a huge victory for PTI as it is a testament of good governance in KPK. The common people are feeling the “Change” and that is why this stronghold area of PMLN has now gone to PTI. Dr. Haider Ali Khan is the new MPA of PK-86 (Khwazakhela, Swat).

Dr Haider Ali Khan, joint candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JIP), Sardar Khan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Ali Shah of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Muhammad Shahi Khan of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Sher Rehman of Awami Workers Party, Muhammad Mukhtiar of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and independent candidates Aftab Shahid, Siyar Khan and Ziaullah Khan were in the run for the seat.

The seat was previously occupied by PML-N’s Qaimoos Khan who got disqualified for holding a bogus educational degree on January 9 earlier this year.

A total of 1,34,000 registered voters in PK-86 included 72,987 male and 61,833 females.

Note: The results so far, as per claimed by CM Pervez Khattak’s secretariat are not confirmed by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
