Jean Paleracio will spend the next 20 years behind bars after she pleaded no contest to the sickening sex assault charges.
A judge dubbed the 33-year-old a “sexual predator” who “scarred” her young victim — a family friend — for the rest of his life.
The Garden Island reports that the former Kauai Economic Opportunity Early Learning Centre worker, from Kapa, videotaped herself with the youngster several times.
From May 2009 and September 2013, she repeatedly assaulted the boy.
Cutting a deal, she pleaded no contest to first-degree sexual assault and first-degree promotion of child abuse.
“There is no other way to put it, Ms. Paleracio, other than you took ultimate advantage of a young boy,” Judge Kathleen Wantanabe said.
Prosecutor Justin Kollar added: “Ms. Paleracio’s actions were sickening and predatory and cannot be tolerated in our community.”
