Researchers at MassGeneral Hospital for Children and the Harvard School of Public Health found that for every hour of television watching each day, they get seven fewer minutes sleep.
U.S study cautions that boys are particularly likely to miss out on sleep because of a TV presence in their bedroom.
In study, researchers followed more than 1,800 children from the age of six months to eight years and they found that those who had a television in their bedroom got less sleep than those who didn’t.
A lack of sleep can have a negative impact on a child’s mental and physical health
