ISLAMABAD – Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan announcing to block the Nato supply for an indefinite period and continue to stage sit-in against it, has said that if the PTI were in power in Center, it would have issued orders to hit the US drones.
Talking to media here on Saturday Imran Khan said that Nato supply from settled areas of KPK would remain suspended till the US assured it would not harm the dialogues process through drone strikes.
He left for Ring Road Peshawar to participate in sit-in along with the party president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Secretary General Jahangeer Khan Tareen, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and others.
Imran said that PTI supports the decisions of Khyber Pkahtoonkhwa (KP) government and party requests provincial government to participate campaign against US drone strikes. PTI would not allow the Nato supply movement from KPK, he added.
He said that we have decided according to our capacity. “Had we been in power in Center, we would block the Nato supply and approach the UN Security Council against the drone strikes,” he said adding that he would have ordered the air force to hit the drones.
Responding to a question he said that PTI throwing two cabinet members, has taken stern actions against corruption in KPK and masses have given mandate to provincial government to root out terrorism.
We would harm the trust of masses and want to act according to our manifesto, he added.
