Pray from Allah to revive Taliban talks, Jamat-e-Islami leader asks nation

Prof Ibrahim

WEB DESK – The leader of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and negotiator for the outlawed militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Professor Ibrahim has asked nation to pray for the mercy of Allah as he, along with other negotiators, try to revive peace dialogues with militants.

Professor Ibrahim was speaking to the media on Saturday when he confirmed that no contact could be made with outlawed Taliban so far.

The outlawed militant group had reportedly abandoned their own appointed negotiators after the outlawed TTP spokesman of outlawed militant group maintained that now attack on government and security officials would be made.

Shahidullah Shahid spoke to the media personnel from unidentified place and threatened to carryout attacks after cancelling the ceasefire with the government of Pakistan and its security forces.

Moreover, the spiritual father of outlawed Taliban militants Maulana Samiul Haq had also advised banned outfit to practice patience as delay and complaints are part and parcel of negotiation process.
