ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has put the national unity on risk by unilaterally announcing to block the Nato supplies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In a statement after PTI’s rally here on Saturday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Imran Khan tried to deviate public’s attention from the current governance crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that a sit-in of some parties cannot be an alternative of national unity.
Meanwhile, Turkish ambassador in Pakistan, Sad?k Babur Girgin had a meeting with the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad and views were exchanged between the two on the prevailing situation of the region.
According to a statement issued by the spokesman of the JUi-F from Islamabad on Saturday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in his meeting with the Turkish ambassador that Pakistan wants friendly relations with the Turkey. He said that Turkey has helped Pakistan in every hour of trial, saying that Pakistan regards the Turkish services for the Pakistan.
He expressed satisfaction on the best brotherhood relations between Pakistan and Turkey. Meanwhile, Turkish ambassador assuring the JUI-F Chief, reiterated the determination to help Pakistan in every of trial. He said that Turkey would continue its efforts for the progress of Pakistan, saying that Turkey would keep on its investment in Pakistan.
