Heavy rain in Lahore but half of the city facing loadshedding

WEB DESK – The heavy rain in Lahore has transformed weather into pleasant one, however, it also brought a trouble for residents as more than 200 power feeders of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) were tripped.

According to LESCO sources, almost half of the Lahore was facing power outage due to heavy rainfall.

Reports also suggest that it would take hours to restore the electricity to almost half of the Lahore. There have been continuous heavy downpour in Lahore for couple of hours after which as many as 200 power feeders tripped.

LESCO also asked citizens to stay away from electricity polls and wet walls to avoid any unpleasant issues.

Sources said that due to storm power lines were broken. LESCO administration refused to carryout any repair work until rain stops as it could result in any accident.

Reports also claimed that all underpasses were inundated with rain water.
