Taliban back on track, security forces targeted in Peshawar Frontier Region

WEB DESK – Hours later after lifting the curfew from Frontier Road area of Peshawar, a powerful explosion hit the security official’s van which might have raised fears of casualties.

According to the latest updates a powerful explosion hit a vehicle laden with soldiers on Friday on Frontier Road.

Correspondent reports added that Frontier Road area is comprised of tribal belt and administrative regions. Security forces have been busy in clearing the area from militants for past one week. Four days ago an indefinite curfew was imposed in the area which was then lifted on Friday.

“Only hours later after lifting the curfew, militants hit the security officials which clearly indicates that they were planning it for quite sometime,” report added.

The rescue teams were dispatched in the area whereas security officials once again had cordon off the entire Frontier Road. A search operation is currently underway.

It is worth mentioning here that outlawed militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had already cancelled the ceasefire with the government of Pakistan and security forces.
