Tell your stance on eating human flesh, Lahore High Court seeks reply

WEB DESK – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered provincial and federal governments to submit their replies regarding the stance on those who eat human flesh or involved in cannibalism.

According to the court corespondents, a petition was filed in LHC on Thursday seeking court’s assistance to order authorities to make strong laws against cannibalism.

The petitioner maintained that due to absence of laws against cannibalism, the human flesh eaters have been receiving very minor punishments.

The stance was prompted after Bhakkar Cannibals who got free within six months of their arrest and again started eating human flesh by digging fresh graves from local graveyards.

The petitioner asked LHC to order government to make stronger laws against cannibalism as it is strictly prohibited in all religion.

Hearing the petition, the LHC bench ordered provincial and federal governments to submit their replies.
