Microsoft, which had released the flagship console, last year, is releasing it in partnership with BesTV, the Chinese Media Company, to tap the world’s largest market.
The forcast came this morning as BesTV outlined its venture with Microsoft.
“Microsoft would be in charge of appointing the new company’s CEO (Chief Executive Office), and that it would produce a variety of content specifically for the Chinese market,” it adds in a recent earnings call.
The games of Xbox One will be cheaper as compared to other markets, it added.
The proposed amount will be 300RMB which is equal to $48 for a game.
After a lift in console ban in China last year, Microsoft has been planning to capture market before Sony and Nintendo enter into the world’s biggest consumer market.
