WEB DESK – The federal finance minister Ishaq Dar has claimed that government would definitely increase the taxes in next fiscal year, however, people would not be burdened.
The interesting statement from the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday when he chaired the board meeting of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Ishaq Dar maintained that FBR had to achieve the difficult target of Rs 2,345 million tax collection. However, he said, burden would not be transfer to people.
He also maintained that government would have to take difficult decisions in next fiscal year regarding economy of Pakistan. He told the attendees that Pakistan’s financial policies were globally admired for being prompt and directed towards right direction.
Ishaq Dar just arrived back from trip to US where he met representatives of global financial institutes including International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank for securing more loans and grants for the government run development projects.
