Releasing tensions: Nawaz Sharif to attend army passing out parade

WEB DESK – The sources privy to power corridors of Islamabad had confirmed that in order to release unseen tensions between Pakistan Army and federal government, prime minister Nawaz Sharif would attend the passing out parade of Pakistan Milistary Academy on April 19.

The source privy and televised reports suggest on Tuesday that chief of army staff General Raheel Sharif had extended the invitation to attend the passing out parade to Nawaz Sharif which later had now accepted.

For past few weeks, an unseen tension was observed between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government and Pakistan Army. The reason was some lose statements made by Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Khawaja Saad Rafique – two federal ministers of PML-N – regarding alleged role of army in protecting former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf.
