Moblink, Telenor, Zong and Ufone in race of 3G and 4G

Pakistan 3G and 4G auctioningISLAMABAD – As the date of 3G and 4G auctioning is near, four local companies have made bids to get the spectrum which will make internet usage on mobile devices a great experience. 

Pakistan, which is still being run on 2G, will be auctioning for 3G and 4G after 10 days.

According to sources, Mobilink, Telenor, Zong and Ufone have been participating in the auctioning from Pakistan. Warid seems not interested in the bid has not been participating.

A total of six places are there in the new technology, meaning that two spots will remain vacant till any international player gets interested.

Pakistan is expecting amassing $2 billion, but as contenders are only four, about $1.4 billion would be collected.

In 3G tec, 30 MHz are available at 2100Mhz band, while in 4G, 20Mhz are available for 1800Mhz.

The bids will be submitted today for the auctioning. The benefits of 3G and 4G for web users and Pakistan could be read in a PT’s post earlier which include getting billions of rupees, lightning speed of internet of mobile devices and other economic fruits.
