Peace once again: Dialogues with outlawed TTP back on track

WEB DESK – The leader of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and negotiator on behalf of outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Professor Ibrahim, has finally expressed satisfaction over the recommencement of peace dialogues with the government of Pakistan.

Ibrahim said on Tuesday that after a lot of delay now negotiation process was underway once again.

Ibrahim also expressed hope that prisoners’ issue from both side was taken up and soon it would be resolved as well. He also thanked outlawed militants for extending the ceasefire against Pakistan security forces.

Earlier, the dialogues process between government and outlawed TTP were on virtual stand still as ceasefire of Taliban expired on April 10. Moreover, the outlawed militants were facing another trouble in shape of infights during which as many as 40 of their own kind brought to death.
