NEW YORK – Why the United States president Barak Obama and UN’s goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie make an informal alliance against reality TV celebrity Kim Kardashian? Why reality TV star has that much importance?
Kim, 33, has managed to make some powerful enemies as both Barack Obama and Angelina Jolie have said they don’t like the most controversial U.S. celebrity.
Reports published in local media in United States claimed that Kim Kardashian has reached out to the Obama on multiple occasions; constantly expressing her absolute support for Barack Obama and his work. However both the president and his wife, Michelle Obama said they “wanted nothing to do with her”.
Kim originally hoped to build a relationship with Barack; similar to the one the president has with Beyoncé and Jay Z but it looks like that’s not going to be happening any time soon.
A source told the National Enquirer that, “She was not the young, cool, image they wanted to portray at all.”
The source continues, “Kim is political poison. Having her involved in a political event or with a candidate is the last thing people who are serious about getting elected want. Kim is so controversial and it’s just too risky for any candidate to have her involved.”
Angelina Jolie has also voiced her opinion of Kim Kardashian, calling her a “witless bimbo”.
Sources say Angelina Jolie was left fuming with Kim after the sex tape star went on Twitter to urge her 20million followers to help save the ancient Armenian Christian village of Kasab, which had been seized by rebels in the Syrian civil war.
Insiders say Angelina thinks, “The Twitter account of a reality star is a terrible platform for something so serious, period.” And instead of “sending out half-baked messages to people via social media” and throwing “her two cents into such a sensitive issue”, Kim should “stick to reality TV.”
As we all know, Kim has been trying to rebuild her image and get into the elite crowd, especially since getting engaged to Kanye West and featuring on the cover of US Vogue.
However the Kardashian name is somewhat frowned upon in parts of Hollywood’s elite crowd. Only time will tell if she can win everyone over.
PR experts working with Hollywood and other celebrities believe that generating buzz and gaining credibility are two different things can’t be obtained simultaneously.
