Amid rising tensions, another PML-N federal minister praises Pakistan Army

ISLAMABAD – The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and federal minister Ahsan Iqbal has praised institute of Pakistan Army and its sacrifices for the motherland as reported tensions between the military-government mount.

According to the televised reports, the federal minister accused former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf and his lawyers of conspiring ‘worst’ differences between the government and Pakistan Army.

“It is not possible that Pervez Mushharf’s trial would turn against Pakistan Army. Military has nothing to do with what Musharraf had done. Pakistan Army had struggled hard to remove stains which Musharraf put on its face,” he added.

The federal information minister Pervez Rashid made it clear on Friday by dismissing all such reports in which Pakistan Army was mentioned to be demanding the resignation of couple of federal ministers.

He maintained that Pakistan Army was working according to the constitution.

PakistanTribe reported on April 10, that despite the military top brass expressed concern over the statements of federal ministers, the leader of PML-N and federal minister of railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq said to be standing by his words previously stated about former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf and role of Pakistan Army in high treason case.
