Samsung leaves Apple and Google behind in wearable devices race

samsung-vs-apple-googleNEW YORK – Wearable devices are going to take over smartphones in upcoming years and Samsung could be the leader of the market, a survey from IDC revealed. 

Various companies have to ship about 75 million wearable devices till the end of this year, it said and added that Samsung had emerged as the most trustworthy brand.

Apple, Microsoft and Google follow the Korean giant, which has already launched its wearable device, Samsung Galaxy Gear.

Apple, which has been reportedly working on a wearable devices, iWatch, is second in line despite the fact that it has yet to launch any device. The position could strengthen after the launch any device from Cupertino based firm.

But, according to IDC, Samsung is likely to lead the market, which is distributed into three categories of complex accessories, simple accessories and smart devices. Nike is another player who is getting warm response from the consumers due to its brand name and comparatively lower prices.
