A unique gift from father to son

Beijing: When 6 years old boy asked his father for a tank for his birthday, he did not even dream that this would happen.

But boy’s father, a former navy officer, Jian Lin took that wish so seriously, and decided to build a tank for his son.

He designed light weight Chinese army tank type 63A, and within two month he completed fully functioning replica, which even have a cannon too that actually fire.

First he decided to make a small model, but when he realized that the parts are available at low prices so he decided to make a real size copy.

He spent around £4,000 over two months on building the tank which is almost five meters long and two meters high.
