Musharraf Trial

WEB DESK – Amid high security threats, the former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf is scheduled to be shifted to PNS Shifa – Pakistan Navy’s facility – in Karachi for his treatment.

According to a report published in country’s famous English daily, the special arrangements were finalized at PNS Shifa for the former president’s treatment and security.

The arrangements also included the formation of a special team of doctors to treat Musharraf. Other arrangements included the display of banners outside the hospital to stop the movement of irrelevant people. Moreover, the maintenance and repair of the CCU of the hospital has been completed and no one is allowed to go near it.

However, the hospital sources denied acknowledging any such movement.

The report quoted the anonymous but well informed sources stating that there were serious threats for Musharraf in Rawalpindi or Islamabad and, therefore, he has selected Karachi for his treatment.

The Special Court was constituted in Islamabad which heard the High Treason case against former military strongman.

On April 3, PakistanTribe reported that a bomb went off on the route of the convoy as Musharraf was being shifted from AFIC to his farm house .

Musharraf has been shifted from Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) to Chak Shahzad after three months. He was taaken to hospital on January 2 as he developed a cardiac problem enroute to appear before the special courthearing treason case against him.
