RAWALPINDI – The top brass of Pakistan Army will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) in a pre-scheduled and periodic meeting of Corps Commanders Conference, however, more likely the topic of discussion would revolve around the recent statement of army chief General Raheel Sharif.
According to a source privy to General Headquarters (GHQ), the statement of General Raheel Sharif is not on agenda but it would definitely be brought up in one context or the other.
Yesterday, while visiting the Special Services Group (SSG)’s base at Tarbela, The chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif maintained that institutional sanctity of Pakistan Army will be held up on undue criticism. However, he never gave any direct reference to those making criticism.
“Pakistan Army upholds sanctity of all institutions and will resolutely preserve its own dignity and institutional pride on undue criticism,” Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted quoting the army chief. General Raheel Sharif was speaking at the ceremony of Special Services Group (SSG) aka Commandos.
General Raheel Sharif will preside over the meeting at GHQ.
