General Raheel Sharif vows to uphold sanctity of Pak-Army on undue criticism

WEB DESK – The chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, without giving any direct reference, maintained that institutional sanctity of Pakistan Army will be held up on undue criticism.

According to the Direcot General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Majore General Asim Bajwa’s tweet, the army chief said “Pakistan Army upholds sanctity of all institutions &will resolutely preserve its own dignity/institutional pride,on undue criticism.”

General Raheel Sharif was speaking at the ceremony of Special Services Group (SSG) aka Commandos.

General Bajwa tweeted:

General Sharif further stated while addressing the ceremony that “Our brave  and battle hardened SSG are ranked among the top elite forces.”

According to an official communique, issued earlier, army chief visited headquarters of SSG at Ghazi Base, Tarbela.

He paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of the SSG soldiers and officers and acknowledged their tremendous success while fighting against terrorists.

Speaking at the occasion he also maintained that Pakistan Army never has  and never will shy away from rendering any sacrifice in ensuring formidable def & security of motherland.
