KARACHI – Few minutes before the assassination time (1PM US Time) of US president John F. Kennedy, Pakistan’s largest city Karachi rocked with twin blasts in its highly populated area which kill 5 and injured 18 including children on Friday night, PakistanTribe.com reported.
According to the PakistanTribe’s correspondent first blast has been reported in Ancholi, F. B. Area at Milk Shop while second reported at front of a Catering-Service Shop around 2300 (PST).
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police East Zone, Javed Alam confirms the incident and said each blast used 3-4kg explosive material.
After the twin blasts in the provincial capital, Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has declared emergency in city’s hospitals.
Pakistan’s state owned Radio service also reported that 5 people were killed and 18 other injured in 2 separate bomb blasts in the Ancholi area of Karachi.

“After initial investigation it seems that Auto Rikshaw or Motor-cycle has used in the blast” DIG Eact zone told the media.

Shia Ulema Council has announced 3 day mourning across the country.
Eye witnesses told the media that Twin blasts heard from the area and at least 4 people have been killed in the incident, rescue workers also claiming that 4 people died in the blasts.
Police told the media that 4 shops and 4 vehicles have been damaged with the blast.

“At least 15 injured people have been shifted to the nearby health center” said rescue workers, police also confirmed the numbers but no official data has been provided yet.
Sources in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital told the media that 18 injured people including four children have been admitted till the time (23:57 PST).
Pakistan’s private TV channel anchor Asma Shirazi claimed that the blast is the result of Rawalpindi incident.
