According to the available details, “Suspension massage” can be seen on GoDaddy.com, the registrar and host of Pakistani Taliban’s recently launched website.
It’s worth mentioning here that the action took place just hours after the campaign launched in Pakistan.
The campaign backed by the Pakistani Social Media Activists has demanded from the Pakistani authorities to ban the website belongs to the terrorist outfit.
PT (PakistanTribe) in its earlier report mentioned that the UmarMedia, claiming itself as “Offical Site Of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan” has active since February 01, 1995 and have the registration till February 02, 2022.
The website is indexed in Google with the status of “N/A pagerank (grey pagerank bar)”.
It’s not yet confirmed that the action for the suspension of TTP’s website has been taken on the direction of the Americans authorities or on the request of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
GoDaddy is the American firm, having business registration in the United States which offers domain registration, hosting and other services related to the presence in cyber world.
Below is the previous updates on the event:
Social Media activists in Pakistan have launched the drive against Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) official website, PakistanTribe.com reported.
According to the details available to PT (PakistanTribe), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been approached with the demand to ban the TTP’s website.
Written complain sent to the PTA stated that “TTP’s website is accessible” in Pakistan where IMDB and XBox like websites have no permission to interact with users.
” While the authorities do not even blink before blocking access to websites like IMDB and XBox, why was an official website for a terrorist group left unblocked?” the complain mentioned.
The draft of the complain also highlights the consequences of TTP’s functional website.
Here is the detail of complain draft sent to the PTA by Pakistani Social Media activists:
“The website carries propaganda material that clearly incites violence, especially against security forces. Can you please tell me why there has been no action on such blatant display of hate speech? While the authorities do not even blink before blocking access to websites like IMDB and XBox, why was an official website for a terrorist group left unblocked? Please note this is not the only website that incites violence, several other websites exist and have been functioning for years. Still, it is rather shocking to see the TTP’s website being launched very publicly in Pakistan, where the group is responsible for murdering over 50,000 civilians.
This is just one example how flawed the current process is.”
